ARTIST BIO

Liven up your space with Coastal Abstract Art!

Sabina translates her love for the beach and coastal lifestyle here on the Mornington Peninsula inspiring a style all her own onto canvas, using self taught techniques in acrylic and mixed media, creating beautiful contemporary abstract to minimalist landscape and seascape paintings, feeling instantly at home in any environment.

The most important elements in Sabina's work is the textile she uses for texture, combined with soft palette strokes, create a sense of blurred motion reminiscent of the rolling waves or sand patterns on the beach.

Next are the numbers, inspired by the weathered and colourful beach boxes that outline the coastline, which Sabina first fell in love with when visiting the Peninsula, as well as the boats, and marinas, to what comes naturally to her during the creative process.

Last but not least, are the music sheets which make up the horizon. These are inspired by Sabina's childhood with her Parisian Mother, who encouraged her love for art and music, to what Sabina feels we all love most about the beach, 'the beautiful sound of the waves'.

At present Sabina's original coastal works are held in various private collections in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, and recently Germany.

"Life is my inspiration, and I look forward to bringing original coastal abstract art into your home… without the sand."
